Boone Country Dancers Contra Dance

The Boone Country Dancers host a contra dance once a month. Check the schedule!
Everyone is welcome regardless of dance experience. We have dancers ranging in age from 12 to 70. You don't need to bring a partner to dance.
We welcome new dancers! There is always a new dancers workshop before every dance.
If you are new to Contra, we ask that you arrive well ahead of the 6:30 New Dancer Workshop time due to parking in Blowing Rock.

Dance admission is $10 - $20 sliding scale, cash or check only. $8 for ages 13 through High School.
Our dance is a Smoke-Free and an Alcohol-Free event.

We are not requiring any specific Covid measures for dance attendance, but we encourage all dancers to follow precautions that will benefit your health

Foul Weather Policy

Winter weather in Boone can be unpredictable. When travel conditions are dangerous, the decision to cancel a dance will be made by 3:00 P.M. on the day of the dance.
If the dance is cancelled, we will try to notify the BCD mailing list, our Facebook, Twitter and update this web site.
